Aujourd'hui je me suis rendue compte que jusqu'à présent je n'ai pas encore parlé de mon passe-temps favori. En créant ce blog, l'idée était de montrer des photos de mes petites réalisations de broderie. Mais ma vraie passion, c'est la lecture. Comme je ne suis pas francophone, je ne lis pratiquement pas en français, plûtot allemand ou anglais. Mais, n'importe ... :-)
Today I realized that I've never spoken about books on this blog. In creating this blog, the idea was to show pics of the smalls I stitched. But, why not talk about books ?? I'll change that now. Reading is my real passion and will ever be.
High Fantasy, fantasy, urban fantasy :-), historical novels, historical thrillers, wizardry, old magic, suspense and fantasy again ... middle-age- or celt-related, England, Ireland - these are the main-themes I'm interested in.
My absolute favourite is and always will be The Lord of the Rings - I've read this book many many times, once a year is a must - and still, I do love it.
I loveTerry Pratchett, Tad Williams, Caiseal Mor, Ursula K. LeGuin as well as J.K. Rowling or Ellis Peters - just to name a few of my favourites.
Piles of books, everywhere in the house ... needless to say that I bother everybody else in the house with all this "paper". And, I CANNOT seperate from books I've read and liked. My husband says, that the day will come he will light a nice, big, (HUGE) campfire in the garden and that this will be seen even from the outer space and will go into history (thanks to Hubble) ..... stuff enough for a new book to be written, bought and read, then .... lol
Enough for today, time to occupy my hands, eyes and brain with written words. :-)
